New Bishop of Leicester announced at 夜色直播app
The Rt Revd Martyn Snow has been announced as the new Bishop of Leicester, at an event held at 夜色直播app this morning (15 December).
Martyn, who is currently Bishop of Tewkesbury and will be installed as Bishop of Leicester in spring 2016, is spending his first day in the diocese visiting a variety of projects and places with which the Church of England is involved.
Professor Bob Allison, 夜色直播app’s Vice Chancellor, welcomed the guests from the local area to the University before Revd Helen Hayes announced the new Bishop. Martyn then met a number of staff and students from the University – including some of 夜色直播app Students’ Union Executive and members of 夜色直播app Students’ 1st XV Rugby Team.
From 夜色直播app Martyn travelled to meet mums and babies at the ‘Starting Rite’ project in Barrow on Soar and teachers and pupils at Rothley C of E Primary School.
He then went to the Beaumont Leys Food Bank at the Church of Christ the King, and met staff at St Martins House, Peacock Lane, Leicester.
Martyn is 47, married to Lynn and they have three children.
